Self-publishing to market their brand

The complementary fusion of Asian and Mediterranean fare has made its way to Cebu City through one of Anzanis unique concept of restaurants.

Situated on top Nivel Hills in the metropolis, the New Mediterranean fine-dining place simply called “Anzani” offers a scenic panorama of the city as you savor unique gourmet and sip your favorite wine. Catering to different lifestyles and tastes, they have launched Bellini, a champagne and cocktail bar, and Gusto, an urban café and wine bar.

The Xlibris book Gusto: Live, Love, Taste, also available in ebook format, has significantly helped communicate the Anzani brand.

Gusto compiles an assortment of easy to complicated dishes served in their restaurants.

As you leaf through the recipes, you also witness Chef Marco’s continuous quest of food ideas and dedication to his craft that brought him to different parts of the world and expanded his cooking horizons. With its cosmopolitan recipes tied to significant moments in Kate and Marco’s lives, the book is part cookbook, part autobiography.

The book will have an enhanced digital version featuring Chef Marco and Kate presenting their cooking demos in a series of videos.  Kate expressed excitement over the project, which she said will “bring the book to life.”

A sequel titled Anzani, aimed at rebranding their chain of restaurants, is also in the pipeline.

Grateful to Xlibris

“Xlibris has been a fantastic platform to promote the book in print and digital formats. The graphic artists did an amazing job,” Kate said. While self-publishing is the easiest way to get the word out about their business, Kate emphasized the importance of self-marketing. Xlibris made it possible for them, but they had to proactively spread the word. They also believe that Xlibris’ book marketing packages are worth considering.

Like most self-pubbed authors, Marco and Kate enjoy the creative freedom that goes with supported self-publishing allowing them to choose and compile the materials for the book, while still retaining the rights to everything. The couple agrees that supported self-publishing is a good marketing strategy for any business.
